Product Description
The Incremental Magnetic Encoder is a non-contact, solid state device that is magnetically actuated for a variety of speed applications, the use of magnetic technology for motion control and sensing activities eliminates mechanical contact and enables this device to be free from mechanical wear and tear. With the advantage of low hysteresis, the encoder is ideal for operation with high-density multi-pole magnetic drum and large air gap applications.
The final PPR count can be selected by the combination of internal programming of the encoder and magnetic pole count of the magnetic drum. In linear applications, the encoder can also provide linear position information when used with a multipole magnet strip instead of a magnet drum. Also the three-channel output encoder provides an additional index channel for every full rotation or revolution of 360 degree, the encoder provides an integrated solution for angular detections within a complete 360 degree rotation.
Features
The increamental magnetic encoders are designed for the indication and control of both shaft velocity and directions of rotation as well as for positioning. Solid state Hall sensors and a low inertia magnetic disc provide two channels with 90 degree phase shift. The supply voltage for encoder as well as the two channel output signals are interfaced with a 150 mm ribbon cable.
