I. Overview
The MDS-100R electronic magnetic scale (magnetic displacement sensor) is composed of the MDS-P detection probe and the LMR magnetic scale. When the position of the probe moves relative to the magnetic ruler, the spatial distribution of the magnetic field changes into an electrical signal. The position data of electric signal is output in real time by compensation algorithm. The detection probe is based on the anisotropic magnetoresistive effect, the signal amplitude is independent of the magnetic field strength, and the change of the gap does not affect the measurement accuracy. The probe detects the magnetic field gradient and is almost insensitive to uniform stray magnetic fields. The gap between the edge of the probe and the surface of the magnetic ruler should not exceed half the magnetic pole distance.
