Product Description

Magnetic Guidance Sensor MGS-H16

Description
The Magnetic guiding sensor MGS-H16 developed by Yuanben, has a special made magnetic
position sensor used to find small magnetic field (a magneic path is installed in the floor), and to
keep the AGV heading direction continuously under control. The magnetic guidance sensors give
signal about the AGV position deviations as the AGV passed the magnetic path, provides an output
16 BIT switches signal, turn at its magnetic path centre axis.
The sensor can guide vehicles with the help of small magnetic field installed along the magnetic
guide path, in the floor. the AGV magnetic guide path is normally 50mm width and 1.0~1.5 thickness,
the cost to install such guide path is a fraction of the cost of other type guide wire installation.
Magnetic guidance path can easily be installed in wood floors and other types of environment not
well suited for guide wire installation.

Features
Magnetic Tape Guidance AGV's route can be constructed in various locations, since the magnetic
tape route can be constructed where the floor can not be carved. Modification of a magnetic tape
route can be done easily and the route is durable against dust, water and light. MGS-H16 Magnetic
Guide sensor detects the slight magnetic flux from a magnetic guide tape at operation distance
30mm (30mm to 40mm) and generates multiple switching signals, IP-65 housing is optionally
available

Mounting
Magnetic path mounting
The AGV guide path is rare earth plastic boned type and normally 50mm width and 1.0 ~1.50
thickness, the magnetic field is 650 Gs. They are installed in the floor and covered with epoxy giving
a smooth and flat floor surface. The distance between the magnetic path to the magnetic guidance
sensor mouned on AGV is 30 -35 mm.
Sensor mounting
MGS-H16 should keep distance from magnetism generators such as a motor. Vicinity of a ferrous
material causes MGS-H16 inaccurate output. In case of mounting MGS-H16 on ferrous material,
keep distance from the material as follows.

Notice
1. Wire input/output cable separately from power line.
2. Strong tension or repeatable bending to input/output cable may cause snapping of wires.
3. Keep away for water since the housing is neither water nor splash proof.
4. Keep away from solvent chemicals (acetone, thinner) since a case or a cable may deformed by
those substances.
5. In case of connecting inductive loads such as relays on a data code output terminal, apply spark
killers to the noise generating elements.
