IPS series inductive proximity switch is also known as contactless switch, contactless travel switch, it is composed of inductor coil and peripheral components of the oscillator, the oscillator normally oscillates, the induction probe generates an alternating magnetic field, when the metal body is close to the induction area in the metal body generated a self-loop eddy current, the eddy current destroyed the oscillator oscillation conditions, Make the oscillator stop or small oscillation, the signal is shaped, amplified, converted into an electrical signal, drive the switching tube on and off, so as to achieve the purpose of detection.
Its function is to send a signal when an object is close to the proximity switch and reaches a certain distance. It does not require external force to apply, is a contactless main electrical appliance. Its use has far exceeded the stroke control and limit protection provided by the stroke switch. Proximity switches can be used for high-speed counting, detecting the presence of metal bodies, speed measurement, level control, detecting part dimensions, and as contactless buttons.
In a DC powered proximity switch, the output unit can be an NPN type triode, where the load is connected to the negative electrode, or a PNP type triode, where the load is connected to the positive electrode. In the AC powered proximity switch, the trigger circuit consists of a thyristor or a three-terminal bidirectional thyristor element.
