The MPSS safety switch is a magnetically encoded solid-state non-contact safety switch, used for machine protection applications. Non-contact operation enables the switch
Easy to install and able to tolerate misalignment. Solid-state design is more capable of withstanding shock and vibration and provides single-point switching, thereby achieving simpler and more reliable interlocking of machine protection devices. The additional safety of encoded magnetic operation and the fully sealed IP67 protection rating make these switches highly suitable for use in harsh environments that are damp or dusty. The MPSS safety switch is designed to be connected to the SCU-1 safety control unit (or referred to as safety delay). If installed correctly, up to 30 switches can be installed in series.
The MPSS safety switch features up to 2 N/O + 1 N/C bidirectional solid-state outputs and an integrated LED for indication. When installed on the machine guard, powered on, and the switch and actuator are within the specified working range, the N/O output will close and the N/C output will open. When the actuator moves out of the working range, the N/O output will be on and the N/C output will be off. Please refer to the LED indication. The switching distance between the MPSS safety switch and the actuator is 7mm, allowing them to approach each other from most angles. When the switch is closed, the target on the switch's printed surface must be aligned. To avoid physical damage, do not use the switch and actuator as stoppers. Leave a gap of 1-2 millimeters to achieve optimal operation and tolerate the vibration of the machine's protective device
